2003 Camry LE alarm?

i purchased a 2003 Camry LE and I'm trying to figure out if this car has a factory alarm or a third party alarm. Should a factory Camry alarm have a black switch button in the fuse box? I am using factory car remote though - keyless entry and trunk release do work.

Sound like OEM. Most after market that I know only come with their own remote.

Awhile back I did see one that offer to replace the OEM PCB so using OEM remote casing.

I had an '02 Camry for which I added a third party alarm to. The installer programmed it so the OEM remote controlled the alarm. Even the panic button worked (horn AND siren would sound). Mine had a 'valet' bypass button high out of sight on the driver's kick panel. Don't think they would put a switch like that in the fuse box.

What happens if you open the door with a key instead of the remote? On my '02 the alarm would sound if I used the key instead of remote. Or... with the driver's side window down, lock the car and reach in and open the door with inside handle. Your car should alarm for sure then.

Hope this helps.

^ If it's the correct physical key, why would the alarm go off?

Not sure, but maybe because it was an 'after market' installation? Or... I'm remembering that part wrong. Normally I would open the door with the FOB - not the key. But seems to me I remember using the key and the alarm went off. Pressing the 'unlock' button on the FOB silenced the alarm.

Don't have the car anymore to test this as it was traded for the '09 Camry.
