Recall - Camry SE Accelerator Sport Pedal?

Has anyone with a 2007+ Camry SE had their accelerator pedal upgraded to the "NEW" one and found that Toyota does not have a replacement Sport Pedal cover for that new accelerator? Now we are stuck with a nice slippery plastic accelerator pedal.

Anyone had this yet?

the sport pedal is the exact reason that im not having the recall done...i like it too much.

i just put the sport pedal back ontop of the regular pedal. problem solved.

The 2010 sport pedal is different than the earlier pedals that just had a cover over a stock pedal. The recall is not available yet for the 2010-2011 Se's. Toyota will likely develop a shorter sport pedal for the newer models.

just put the cover back on, it fits fine

The cover is longer than the new replacement accelerator pedal though. It can slide up and down the pedal about an inch or so. Isn't it a bit risky?

i don't know much about pedal as u can tell. I only step and go.

makes the pedal also a bit higher. mainly for looks. i love em.

Seeing how I don't even know the shape and pattern of my pedal, that mean I never look at it. LOL
