Lotus Evora ECU

Just got some info that the part number for the Lotus Evora ECU is B132E0008F but they come 'uncalibrated'.

Never heard of this being the case with any ECU for that matter so I am trying to get more info on this and what is involved in calibrating it. If it is a simple stock Toyota 2GR-FE ecu that is sent to Lotus to 'calibrate' then maybe we could use their calbrating services. Who knows! $$$$ Gotta find out though.

Also, read that the Lotus Sports package comes with the option of selecting 'Sports Mode', which raises the redline to about 7000rpm. It's a simple matter of hitting a button to do this. Wonder how this is hooked up to the Lotus's (Loti?) ecu. The powerband on the 2GR-FE doesn't exactly fall off right around redline so... I've been told by a fellow on another site that crunches some Cartest numbers that shifting around 6400rpm or so would net around .2 gain in the 1/4 mile. Perhaps the same could be said of 7k rpm.

Maybe so! I have not been able to read/find any info about it's use and effectiveness on the 2GR-FE equipped camrys though. This maybe for another thread though. At any rate, if there is some hp/tq, 1/4 mile or just functional information in a thread somewhere, where this is utilized with the 2GR-Fe engine with good results, shoot me a PM if you could.
