Need new DRLs. anything good?

Has anyone found any angel eyes(bmw wannabe) or demon eyes(audi style) drls that are close to being as bright as OEM yet? All the reviews I've seen said that theirs weren't as bright as the real deal and not suitable for usage.. or just unreliable.

Nope

Stick with OEM unless you want to get flamed here

only thing i see that can look interesting and unique as a drl is some celis fiber rods in shape of headlights. if done right i think will be very unique.

Actually I just found out that some of the newer cars are using the fogs as drls since foglights seem to be fairly useless when u have HIDs. Seems like a good idea to me.. But I dunno about activating h11's w/ a drl voltage... might have to look in to some mods for that probably just need to add a capacitor to up the voltage or somethin like that...

but then if princess peach gives me a fog that I successfully mod, there'll be mini h1's in there XD decisions decisions...

u had oem fogs or no? if u had oem then netforcer can make them independent so u can run them with drls. then u can just drop a led bulb in the slot and the fx-r has high beam anyway. this way u can run fogs as drl.

Why do you want your drls to be bright? They where never meant to be bright. Just roll with your high beams on if you want brightness or switch to LED bulbs.

i think it's bc they will be connected to high beam to suppliment lack of original high beam.

LED bulbs will have weaker output... better to just roll with highs on

Oh oops. forgot to explain that I won't have my drl/high beam. Replacing it w/ mini h1's. Well.. here's what I"ll be using it for:

Dawn: when it's kinda dark out but HIDs won't really help visibility yet
main reason: When I'm at a long light and my car's slanted up or just at the top of a hill (atlanta's very hilly)

imagine this: I'll have rx330s and minih1's on at the same time. I would feel very sorry for the suckers on the other side.. and it'd just plain suck for me if it's a cop over there. So that's when I activate parking lights, which use drls. +turn signal... so I want some source of light to replace the drls.. something reasonably bright

edit: just tried wiring fogs to the drl. They won't activate w/ drl voltage.. so it needs whatever voltage the high beams or low beams put out... anybody know the drl voltage?
