Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
or just trade with your friend, and if he says no slap him and then say pretty please it should work! Honestly technicaly it can be done but it'd be so much money that it'd be stupid.
It would cost more to do the swap, I'm guessing $5000 - $7500 or more with ECU, intake, exhaust, engine components etc....
Than to sell your car and buy a V6. I mean, you bought a used car, just turn around and sell it. It doesn't just magically depreciate instantly unlike buying and selling a new car.
so i got the loan on this car, if i sell it and buy the V6, how would that work?
I'm tempted to sarcasm but I will attempt to restrain myself. If you can't afford to pay cash for a used car, you can't afford to replace the engine, transmission, suspension, instrument cluster, ecu, and who knows what else. You drove the car before you bought it, right? Your options are to trade it in on another used car, trade it in on a new car, or just drive it. You are young and inexperienced. Learn from your experiences, and don't buy the first thing you see next time. Assuming there is nothing mechanically wrong with it, my option would be to drive it until the wheels fall off. You being the impulsive one will likely trade it in. The way it works is thusly: The dealer sets a trade value for the car. You accept or reject and go to another dealer. When you get a price you can live with, and they have a car you can live with, you trade. Let's say you paid $15k for the car and it is worth $11k as a trade. If you owe less than $11k, then you get money back to apply to the new car. The first one has to be paid off. If not then you come up with the difference, or more commonly it gets rolled over into the new loan for the new car. Now you are buying a car worth may $17k and you have a loan for it for something like $21k. Buy the insurance. You will be upside down for a long time.

I'd think thats modest becauce labor alone is probaly $2k no? And I'm quessing that you'd have to buy a totaled car to get the parts that can't be cheap.
