5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
The car has been TURBO'ed as I know there are some other 2GR-FE V6 Camry's out there... a few but out there... they are remaining quiet! No pics of the engine.... yet..... However, Kenny can vouch that it is the real deal! I will post DYNO next week... and has the NARISTO kit installed, with the JDM turn signal side mirrors!
NET hit this one on the head! Yes, it is CO2 is to cool for the IC and Air Intake. I have a solenoid that goes to operates both in conjunction. It is only good for about 15-20 sec. Provides the extra umph you may need at the end. I have another 5lbs bottle as a spare and also a purge system. Ill bring it to the next EAST COAST MEETING. CO2 is better than NOS as it doesn't direct inject anything chemical into the engine. Methanol is basically added to produce a racing gas mixture... 120 Octane. I plan on getting 1/4time trial in ATL at the end of July.
I know you said to PM you, but I'm sure a lot of people are interested in how much it cost you to install the turbo on the 2GR-FE. Also, what turbo did you use?
I'm eager to see your dyno results... The torque steer is pretty bad already on the stock car. Is it much worse with the turbo?
Sick setup! Nice audio install, I can appreciate how much planning/work goes into that. Turbo with a CO2/methanol spray system on a 2GR-FE?! Love to hate you...
