I have a 2007 Camry XLE 3.5L with stock tires 215/60-16. I will be driving cross country in 2 weeks from NY to LA and I need to get new tires, and I would greatly appreciate your help!
There are so many tires out there and I was hoping you guys can give me a recommendation on which tires are the best for me, which will save me a whole lot of time.
I will be in Southern California so I won't need a winter/all weather tire and probably need a sport-type tire, with good handling that can get me some good mpg's right?
What is the best tire I can get for around $75-90 per tire on a discount website?
I don't think you're going to find much for the price you quoted. I looked at Tire Rack and they had some cheapies but even those are going to cost you $90 bucks shipped. Then you need to have them mounted and balanced, figure on at least $20 each. I would look toward Yokohama for a good inexpensive tire, preferably the new Avid Envigor. They would run about $100 each shipped from Tire Rack but are way above the Kumhos and Sumitomos in that price range.

thank you for the responses DOHCammer and gdanaher! I was looking at the Dunlop SP Sport 7000 which are about $80 before shipping and tax, is anyone familiar with these?
I will check out both the Avid Envigor and Michelin Hydroedge. Any additional feedback/opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Probably covered before. I just put Michelin Primacys on my 2008 V6XLE and they are great. Make the car ride like it should and they are very quiet. More expensive but worth it.
I have my original set of stockers with about 3000 miles on them I could sell you if you want. Send me PM if interested, I'm located in Irvine so I'm not too far away

I also have Michelin Primacys on my car.
10k miles and barely show any wear. They are good for 30k or 60k but I forgot.
Agreed with post above. Couldn't said it better.
They're good in all weather! Except snow........:headban g:
I have used Michelin tires since the early seventies. Never had one fail.Had WalMart order a set of Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. $120 each mounted and balanced. They are wearing well after a year and a half. H speed rated which is one or two steps up from the OEM tires. I believe Consumer Report had a sections on tires in the last issue.
why not read up on reviews of all of them and decide oh and answer the above question lol. personally all of them are good. i believe the yokos are new though.
