Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hey guys,
I bought a 2011 camry last month it's in the color silver. I have one question though, is there any difference in the shape when compared to older camrys 2010 or 2009? There is something different, but I can't tell what it is, I know for sure that the back light is a little different.
Also, it doesn't have the jbl system like my 2009 corrolla does which i absolutely love! any alternatives or suggestions?
The Camry was refreshed for the 2010 model year and above. It just went through some minor changes like front bumper & grille design/shape such as airdam and foglight cutouts, new headlights, new wheel designs, white stripe in tailights went from the top to the bottom but are now LED, new fabric, dials went from aqua to clear, and windows are all autodown. Perhaps you want to get an aftermarket audio system?

Here are the differences:
wow thanks a lot dude, the pictures helped a lot! Yea I think I'd want to go with an after market, I was checking on ebay and the jbl for toyota camry was only around 350, but I think I'd need a seperate amp for that too right?
Do you know any decent ones that should fit the trim and not look odd at the same time.

You shouldn't need a new amplifier since you said it's for the Camry. The stock amplifier shouldn't exceed the wattage for the speakers and I doubt you'll run into that problem.
Also the Corolla is still fairly new in its model life it came out in 2008 as a 2009 model. This would mean don't expect to see a refresh in 2011 as a 2012 model.
Baloney..........it follows their normal model refreshing schedule for the Camry.
Ha ha. Not necessarily. They happen to make these changes after they had one of their worst years since they have been in business. Remember the name change for cars sold here from Toyopet to Toyota. Also, in some markets the Prius is now referred to as the Prius II or Prius III

Not really. These minor fascia changes to the Camry came with the 2010 model, which came out in mid-2009, which was before any of the recalls started.
Now, I HAVE heard that they rolled out the 2011 models earlier than they might have, because people had a bad perception about the 2010 model year. The 2011 model is essentially a carry-over model, so there was no reason for them to debut it in, what, March? Normally, carry-over models follow traditional cycles, introducing in the summer/fall of the prior year.
