Hey guys, have been following this forum for quite some time but never actually had a thread on my 07 Sportivo 2.4L (New Zealand). Sadly to say my first post here would be a sad one.
Car got rear ended a week ago. was slowing down and turning left at a T junction and a Corona didn't slow down in time.
more updates to come. had pics of the car but laptop got stolen recently
thanks for your comments guys. the car is in the shop, will be ready in a couple of weeks. apparently, toyota does not have a replacement boot lid with holes for the spoiler in NZ, i think its being shipped from AUS. new back panel, bumper, boot lid, spoiler, lights. i think thats it. total cost is $8200.
have a vibrant muffler fitted already. shipping from the states was almost the same price as the muffler itself. lol. toys in the boot was not damaged because i moved it all under the front seats. the trunk install was nice but it was a bit hard to reach the spare. so moved it all under the seats for practicality. would take more pics when the car is back.
have 35% tints all round except the front. LED interior lights, LED steering controls and LED plate lights. i tried to remove the door protectors but apparently there are holes where it clips in.
would love to get new wheels and a nice drop but would have to save up for that. gotta get hold of the iphone 4 first. haha. love those GS wheels, but its hard to get hold of them down here.
hey guys. was looking at a few camrys here and saw how good it was lowered i dont have the money to go for coilovers. how are springs? i know coils can be adjusted for height and comfort but how do springs compare? anyone with tein or kingsprings here? any comments? cheers
guys gotta look at good shops in the area that are willing to do it for less. i got estimate of around 4k when someone flew out in front of me. i spent around 3k parts and all including se conversion.
If you don't have money for coils right now, get springs.
A lot of us are lowered on Tein. It give an even 2" drop all around. I recently did mine.
The ride is a little stiff, but it is very smooth.....plus it is sexy. You can get Tein for about $225 shipped. If you have a little mechanical know-how and a buddy, it will only take about 2 hrs to do. We are all here to help if you need it.
Just a warning though....if you get springs, down the road you will want coils.
