I did this mod earlier today and i thought i would share it.
The strips only go on when i put it on parking light mode, i'm thinking of getting another set to install for when i'm ready to replace my burnt out halo ring. I still need to put it on place with some type of glue, right now it's just sitting there for the camera.
There is actually a very nice sitting for the strips bordering the inside of the grill, thought that was cool.
It looks much better in person, specially when driving haha
Thanks 510Ryder, and no problem. I would imagine it would be legal since it's not really underground lights, and the color of the LEDs are considered legal as well. But that's just how i see it.
I'll be taking more pictures tonight.
ebumdude, i thought that would be nice to do, and i might do that if this gives me any problems but we'll have to just see.
I like the scoop =)
Grille light isnt all that bad, i wouldnt do it, but its not ugly. The scoop has to go and i think the grillel light would look better if your low beams matched it.

If it is white and towards yellowish side rather than blue, then I think you may be ok. There is a limit on how much light can come from a light setup like that. I don't remember the lux or lumen that is lega.
Another consideration is to use something to diffuse a the light a bit -- may make it closer to legal. For photographic flash, I use plastic from those white colored milk jugs to diffuse the flash. Perhaps you can do something similar.
Some mid-90s Mercury minivans had the area between the headlamps illuminated.
I'm thinking about rewiring them to make them turn on along with the HIDs instead of only on parking lights, then they would match very well since the yellowish parking lights would be off. I've driven past cops that are usually parked aside waiting tonight, like 2 of them, and nothing happened. But that's just only 2 cops, it's a good start though!
