well iam not the best guy to answer your question but ive search something for you cause i have nothing to to at work and found this

part for your car like belts/gaskets etc. have had to be replaced within 12 months if not sooner you wont find the part over there and Also, your car's computer system may not be compatible with the diagnostic equipment used here, which makes it very difficult to uncover problems and effect appropriate repairs.

The AC is probably not built to handle 40 - 50C temperatures over an extended 4 - 6 month period either

oh this guy is shipping his 08 tundra from us to qatar its like beside kuwait hehehe well gl man hope everything will work out fine with you

Bawazir_Chicago,

I think your car should do fine. I've been in the area from Jordon to Dubai to Bahrain within the past few months and trust me when I say that is a Toyota Nation. Every taxi cab in the city is a Toyota of some sort. Mostly Camry GL/GLX. If they work as a taxi then I think it will be fine for your DD.

I wouldent worry to much. Maybe tint the windows a bit to keep the interior temps down. Even something like 50 or 40% tint will cool things a bit.

Stock up on a lot of the wear and tear stuff. Belts, filters, bulbs etc. Stuff costs a lot more overseas.

The thermostat wont make much of a difference, I doubt the camry is gonna have any problem with the cooling system. They do sell lower temp thermostats anywhere other than the dealership. Dealer only stock OEM temp.

If the car will survive in Phoenix, it will survive in Kuwait. Worry less about this and just keep your head down and safe.

When I went over there, I sold my vehicle before I left....

All the money you make over there, haz pay, untaxible income etc....you will be able to buy something really nice there for cheap and ship it back, OR save all your money and live large when you come back.

Then again, for the 12 mos. I was there, I was only on land about 7 days per month. Didn't really need a car.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do, stay safe.
