need fender work pics

I'm not too sure about rolling my fenders because i don't want to jack up the body lines of the car. But after doing some serious rubbing, i think it's time for some fender work. I'm considering either rolling, shaving or pulling the fender. If you guys have fender work done, can ya'll post up some pics so i can see how it would look? Thanks

Fender rolling shouldn't be a big issue, i've done plenty of fender rolling and from my experience.. cutting/shaving would be the last resort. Because a properly rolled fender lips should be laid flat and it'll take a good hour or 2 just to do one fender.

- sooo.. here are some tips i can give you from my mistakes:

1. shaving/cutting would be last resort.
2. heat up the paint really good because toyota uses hard paint and its hard not to crack it.
3. grab an IR thermometer to get a good heat because its cheaper than fender work in a body shop.
4. the hot metal is easier to bend.
5. patience.

here's my gen4 before the roll..

here it is after the roll/pull..

i've pulled more since then to fit the 17x9.. and i'm gonna have to pull much more to fit the 18x10s. Rest assured, if you do it slow and easy- it'll work out just fine.

good luck!

I used a baseball bat on mine....stuck it between the tire and fender and rolled very slowly forward and back...takes 2 people though.

I need to do a bit more, need a thicker bat though..... Wood bat not aluminum...and make sure you don't need the bat after because it chews it up pretty good.

Someone else on here used a mallot(sp) i don't know what type (plastic or rubber) and i don't know if they heated the fender or not.

I'm going to be buying a jack and stands next month and going to work on the fenders some more. I have spacers i want to put on!

Yea I'm we gonna use the machine to do the rears first and see how that goes. Might have to raise the car up a bit because the coilovers have broken in so it's lower than before LOL.

I got the rear fenders on my Corolla rolled professionally. It's one of the things that I didn't want to attempt to do myself in case the paint cracked and everything turned to crap. It was really cheap to get done and the fender flare isn't too noticeable at all - In fact, it improves the look of the car from the rear. I've had no more rubbing since and would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to constantly spend money on new tires all the time.
