GEN 6 V6 O2 Sensor Replacement Help

I have a 2007 Camry v6 and need to replace the O2 Sensor 1 Bank 1. Does anyone have expereice with this replacement? I assume it is on the exhaust side before the convertor on the engine side nearest the firewall. I am wondering if I need to remove the exhaust or manifold to change the sensor or can I change it with the exhaust connected? I have a set of sensor sockets and a thread chaser just in case. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Tony

Thanks Blackcam for the reference, it is nice to have access to the manuals. the manuals seem to suggest that the exhaust should be removed to replace the Bank 1 Sensor 1. I am wondering if it is really necessary and has anyone had any real world experience in replacing that particular O2 sensor. I plan to tackle the job on Friday and and will find out the answer and post it.

Regards
