Getting/thinking about getting new 2011 camry

So I really wanna get a camry, I was looking around for a while for a nice 3rd gen v6, and using that as a second car, I have an 09 corolla and I get like 40mpg, I don't wanna lose that, but I need a lArger family car for road trips and plus camrys are super comfy and reliable. The new 2011 camrys have the 179/180 hp 2.5l i4(169 for non SE models, but i would only get an SE) which would increase the performance a bit(the old 2.4 4cly camrys seemed a little sluggish compared to the corolla)and get a base expected 22/33 mpg which is only 4 city and 2 highway less than the base expected mpg of the corolla, I have intake and exhaust on my rolla that's part of the reason why it gets really good fuel economy.(when driven conservatively ) so which brings me to my questions, should I trade in my corolla for the camry? Do they make any performance parts for the 2.5L yet?(googled and couldn't find any) would 2.4L parts work with the 2.5? Or should I just try and get a used camry and have 2 cars(plus a work car crx si, and a 92 4runner kinda toy) ultimately if money wasn't a limit I'd keep the corolla and get a v6 camry for the fun and still use that on road trips that require more room.

Oh which also brings me another question for my fellow TN'ers, does anyone have a clean 3rd gen v6(not gold, I hate that color, yes I'm picky) for sale or a 5th gen SE v6(want the se v6 for the more horsepower) for sale, preferably dont want to spend over like 7-8k because I want to pay off the additional car either instantly or within a 2 year loan at the bank

If you're going to get a 2011... might as well wait a lil longer until the 2012 new design comes out... you'll get a better deal... otherwise get a 2010

The '10s have a $2K manufacturere to dealer market incentive so you can get a great deal on a '10.
However,no 0% financing on the '10.
I just bought an '11 for at invoice with 0% financing and two years/24K miles free maintenance.
You should be able to get a '10 for $2K under invoice.

You really need to drive them all and make a decision on your experience. Remember that the LE allows for the rear seats to be folded down for long storage. There are times that you need that. SE and XLE don't do that. My V6 gets about 20-22 in total city driving without a freeway, and 30-31 highway if driven between 70-85, All Toyota speedometers are calibrated a little to the high side, so if it reads 70, you are actually zipping along at about 67.

Yes I thought about the seat back, but I have a 4 month old and don't plan on getting rid of her any time Soon, lol, so I would just about always need the back seat up, my corolla has the same feature and I can honestly say I've used that once. If I really need something that large moved I either fold down the seats in my 4runner or borrow one of the dozen trucks I have access to(friends, inlaws, grand inlaws, my boss's truck... Ect) thank you for the fuel economy insight, do you have any mods on your camry? And do you usually use cruise control?(I know a lot if people who don't) anyone out there with a 4cyl 2011(new 2.5L) get that kind of fuel economy?

yeah i heard that the new design was around the corner for the 2012, and i wouldnt mind seeing what thats like, i just dont want to wait for it, it be an ugly body style, and then get stuck having to buy the ugliness, or take my chances and trying to find a used one with all the stuff i want. and the reason id get the 2011 over the 2010 is because the 4cyl has more backbone then the previous one (2010 2.4l i4 159hp compared to 2011 non se models 2.5l i4 169, and se model is 179) without sacrifice of fuel economy

NET is correct! Also wait towards the end of the year because you will get an even better deal. The dealers must move those cars by the end of the year or pay taxes on them. This is why everyone has blowout sales towards the end of the year to avoid paying taxes on their inventory! Plus they are wanting to move them for the 2011 models.

I rented a 2010 Camry this year 4cyl, with the 2AR-FE engine... It felt like more power than the 2AZ-FE. Personally, I would get the V6 2GR-FE, I have no complaints with mine! Or wait 2 more years and get the FT-86 4 banger.

My wife is wanting the G-Sport so her RAV 4 will try to put a dent in that price! It will be paid off then!

thats exactly the bandwagon i want to jump on, the dealer told me about all that jazz and i was like oh really? the 24k miles free maintenance is what gets me, i mean i know toyota only charges 29.99 for oil changes but that adds up, and i heard it includes brakes, which is another thing i got lucky with on the corolla, my brakes were "squeeking" which i dont really care, but then they were making an almost grinding noise, my wife couldnt stand it so i had to get it taken care of , i took it in to see what they had to say and they said there was "workman ship in the pads" and that they could replace them for free because i wasnt under 40% on the brakes, i thought hell, the brake job from toyota usually costs 59.99 for the basic package, yes im going to get my brakes warranty'd. so since being the owner of a 2011 can you tell me your average fuel economy? gone on any long trips? and can you use cruise control yet?(i know they say within the first 1k to not use it)

Trade in for V6 Camry. Or better yet, wait a bit for the next generation Camry.

I bought an '11 and didn't wait because I didn't want a first year Camry model.
I had a first year model '07 Camry and it had fit and finish issues both in and out, creaks and rattles but fortunately not the V6 trans issue that many had.

Yeah, the free maintenance isn't much. Two oil changes and tire rotations and maybe a cabin filter. The oil changes aren't $29.99 anymore.I believe the '11 Camry is synthetic oil and the Toyota 0w20 is $8+ a qt.

sorry i dont have wiki infront of me, is the 2uz-fe motor the new 2.5L? and the 2AZ-fe the old 2.4L? and also the 2011 was the first year to use the new 4cyl, so if it was a 2010 you drove, it had a 2.4L, and yes i test drove the V6 and 4Cyl camrys in late 08 when i bought my new corolla and omg, that V6 is awesome, i was scared of getting v6 fuel economy when we were used to a honda civic fuel economy(hated the car tho, in one way very glad the wife blew it up)
and believe me, i would love to buy an FT-86 or FR-S, whichever they decide to name it, but again, the reason im upgrading from corolla to camry is for room

so is the corolla, 0w-20 full syn, i was doing my own oil changes and it was costing me that much alone in just damn oil, with it being on sale, not including price of filter, the time for me to drain, take the oil to a place, and have it dumped. and as far as nor cal goes where i live, oil changes are still 29.99 + tax. full synthetic, i asked.
