2010 Camry Lower Grill Damage

Last night my wife hit some small animal that ran out in front of her on the road (55 - 60 MPH). This morning when looking at the damage I found: the lower grill is knocked out of its fastenings and the splash pan is broken. Does the grill just snap in or are there mounting clips that could be broken? Does any one know the approximate cost of repair (and replacement of the splash shield)? I have to figure out, do I run by the insurance agent tomorrow or is it going to be less than deductible and I shouldn't even bother reporting it to the insurance company. If it is going to be more than deductible then I will probably go the insurance route. No comments about fix it yourself, I am 71 and gave up working on cars many years ago. Its too hard to get down on my knees or lay on my back to fix things.

Don't know about the 2010, but earlier models had the grill attached with screws from the inside, in such a manner that you removed the entire bumper, replaced the grill, and then reattached the bumper. Search here for previous threads because many people have messed with their grills. Second, check the on-line parts dealers such as Toyota of Dallas who sell cheap and ship. These parts aren't too awful and the total would likely not make the deductible, whatever amount you have (you didn't state).

Lower grilles never had screws... I have both 2007 and 2010 front ends. They clip on, but there may be tabs that are broken. As long as only a few are broken, the rest of the tabs should hold in place. As for the splashguard, define broken. are the holes torn or are clips just ripped out. Clips are easy to replace. the splashguard themselves would be more expensive. If you can't bend down, I suggest taking pictures and looking at them.

The splash guard is broken, the plastic is split. Upon further inspection later this morning, the front bumper is split dead center at the bottom so the whole front facia will have to be replaced also. Looks like this will be an insurance claim.
