Hello all
On my 09 Camry LE, I am planning to upgrade the front speakers. It has the basic factory system. I plan to pull the tweeter and mid/low speaker in the door. After looking at the tweeter, I see it has 4 wires going into it. I know this is a parallel hook up to the door with the signal coming into the tweeter then to the door speaker. What I am wondering is if the signal coming from the tweeter to the door is a low pass signal (crossover at the tweeteer) or a full range signal with the tweeter crossover (looks like a cap) only affecting the tweeter? I am looking at to where I place the new speaker(s) crossover in the signal path.
Also thinking of disconnecting the tweeter, splicing the wires together and sending the full range signal to the door.
Also, of the 4 wires that hook up to the tweeter (2 each of the same color...ex:Right channel has two light green and two light blue) which ones are from the head unit and which go to the door?
Thanks for any help/advice!
