hey guys, so i just got my 07 camry se v6 and was so excited and hooked my ipod into the aux input and go to push disc/aux and it wont go to aux?? so i took it to the dealership and they said oh its prob a bad cable so i bought a new 3.5 cable and tried it and still nothing. it plays cds fine. they tried saying that i might need some adapter from toyota directly to hook it up but i find this hard to believe...can anyone help out? could i have a bad aux input jack? i tried searching but came up empty handed.
tl;dr aux input does not work. got new cable. still nothing. ?
i know on my 07 4cyl my aux is able to swicth as soon as the cord is plug into the aux input, i use my iphone to listen to music and even if my phone isnt plug up and the aux cord is i am still able to switch to aux input, sounds to me like you radio isnt noticeing that the aux port has a cord pluged in.. i would go back to the dealer and fight that. did you buy it at the dealer? warrenty?

I see three options:
1) try a different I-Pod.
2) try a different car with your setup.
3) try to have the dealer make your aux input jack work with their equipment......
I have no problems and no hum either......

yeah i tried my sis ipod and still wont pick up. tried my phone as well and 2 different cords. and still nothing. but yeah in my sis civic. u can go to aux even when the cord is plugged in and nothing is plugged into the cord. so i do belive it is the input. and nothing on my end.
so i guess ill be calling the dealership again and see what they can do about it.
alright guys, well i called them up and will be there around 130. ill mention the issue how its not sending signals to the radio. so ill let u guys know whats up !! thx all for the input ( no pun )
ok so got back from the stealership...ended up being the cable behind the radio for the ipod connection was disconnected...at first they were gonna charge 90 but i was like ehhh its not my equipment but ended up payin 50 but whatever. at least it works now.
did you buy the car from that dealer?? if so i wouldnt have come out of pocket for anything, anyway glad you got it working
That's why they call them"stealership" .I remember one time my fogs wasn't working and took it to the "stealership" to get it looked at.I knew about the fuse box inside the engine bay but i didn't know there was one inside the cabin under the steering wheel or else i would have done it myself.Around a buck or two for the fuse and $100 for labor for installing a fuse.Needless to say i was pissed that i didn't do my homework enough.
mine turned off when i hit a bump, then i have to take it out and put it back in WORK then same thing happen again when i hit a bumo. i will go to the dealership this Tuesday hope they dont call my my Camry an aftermarket car again. hate dealership
I am having the same issue, exactly as you described it. CD plays. Radio plays. Won't recognize AUX. One day, it flickered on and off for a few minutes, but now it is "done." OK - so now I know I have to go to the dealership. Thanks a lot!
One quick question - how long did it take? How much did it cost? I bought my car new - still under 45K.
