whole family of TOYOTA's

Hey guys, my name is vince, i rarely post on TN but have been reading a lot on here. Well 5 days ago, i finally convinced my mom to be the owner of a new 2011 camry LE. I have been a toyota fan since owning 3 MR2's and currently a 96 avalon with 75k miles as a DD plus garage queen M3. My dad owns a 09 Yaris since he commutes more than 75 miles a day for work.

I must say that I am loving the Camry as it is smooth and quiet. I have been reading on the posts regarding the 2010 6 speed transmission auto jerky issues on the 4 cyls. Is the transmission the same as the 2011? I would suppose so since there is not much change that i can tell. Can anyone on here with a 2011 camry/4 cyl/6 spd auto chime in on any experience? The issue is rather annoying since the car cant decide which gear it wants to be in and is jerky when downshifting.

Thank you in advance

-Vince

No changes between 2010 and 2011 models AFAIK.

You need to break the car in more. It's learning the driving habits of the driver. It should be normal after a couple thousand miles

Having my 2011 SE for a week now (tomorrow) I haven't experienced ANY jerking issues or irregular driving patterns. I HAVE noticed though out of the gate the acceleration difference now that it's learning my driving patterns. I know one week isn't enough for it to be fulyl seated with my patterns, but there is ALOT more pop when I put it down.

One thing that I'm particuarlly fond of is the cornering technology. The car senses and has the ability to cut power OR ADD depending on the corner. This had made for some excellent and fun driving. Plus it's made my motion sickness peak it's ugly head.

Goodluck!
