5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Since I finally got off of my ass and installed a bunch of parts on the Supra not too long ago, my wife and I have been thinking about getting some new upgrades for the Camry too. We are going to focus mainly on the exterior of the car, starting off with the wheels. Even though we love the TRD wheels, we have been thinking about getting a set of new wheels that are larger and a little more aggressive. Here is what we have decided on.
Volk Racing RE30 Wheels
Limited Edition Machine Black Finish
19x 8.5 with a +43 Offset
245/35 size tires but not sure which brand yet
This ISF has the Limited Edition Formula Silver RE30 wheels to give you an idea of how the style of wheel would look on a Lexus/Toyota body.
if u get new wheels for ur car then go more aggressive offset wise. look at staggered front and rear with around +35 offset. dont be afraid to roll the rear fenders. our cars look so good with some nice wide rims in the rear. also maybe go to a tein drop.
also if ur going volks.... please te37s or similar. i haven't seen those on a camry at all i believe.
TRD wheels always looked like tuning forks to me
but at one point I wanted them too.
Make an update thread to your guys' Camry!
And those wheels would look sexy on a Mag Grey one, but would look even sicker on a white one (my neighbor has black wheels on his white gen6 you can see it in my update thread)
Thanks all for the great comments. I have not pulled the trigger yet but will probably make the decision this weekend. The good thing is that these wheels are already in stock so I wont have to wait 3 months for them. Do you think the tire size that I picked is correct?
nice...are these forged wheels? i'm sure they are expensives....
Thanks and they are a one piece forged wheel. They are a little pricey but not too bad.

I have been thinking about going with a little more aggressive offset but I am not going to go crazy, making me have to roll the rear fenders. I also am not going with a wider wheel in the back because it is not a RWD vehicle (just personal preference). I would just go buy an ISF (I have considered it but the back seat is not practical with a 4 month old.) if I wanted a wider tire in the back. I have been thinking about coilovers but am not 100% sold on that idea yet either. I love the TE37/LE37 style wheels but not on a Camry. I think that the Camry needs a multi-spoke wheel to set it off.

Took the words right out of mouth... hahaha... pointless to go staggered on a FWD. TE-37's are played out by the honda community. RE-30's are baller and I'd get a set if I could. Just go more more aggressive on the offset... at least 35mm with 30mm being the max
