Putting car in Park do not unlock the doors

I have 06, Camry, XLE, 4Cly, Auto, US made having 55K Miles.

When I shift gear from P to D, it locks the doors. But when I stop the car and put it back to Park it do not unlock doors. It use to do it, not any more. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Check your owner's manual. It's a user changeable feature. There will be some sort of process of putting the car in park or neutral and pressing or holding the lock or unlock button. I forget the details. The speed sensative (15mph) door lock feature is also user changeable.

1. turn key to on (do not start!)
2. press and hold down lock
3. door ajar light will flash a number of times corresponding to the setting
4. rinse and repeat until you get the setting you want.

They are 4 settings, but unfortunately i do not know them off the top of my head. I know for sure 2 flashes is all auto off.

It worked ! ! !

Thank you guys. It worked.

BTW, I went to DCH Brunswick Toyota, NJ about 18 - 20 months back. They said $90 to diagnose the problem. I am sure they would have fixed it if I had let them, for $90 Plus fixing charges.
