2003 Toyota Camry taillight question

I have a 2003 4-cyl Toyota Camry. One of my taillights stopped working a while ago, while the second taillight continues to work without issue when I turn the headlights on. I replaced the bulb in the side that had stopped working, but it did not solve the problem. I also checked the fuse for the rear taillights, which showed no problem (although, if the fuse was out, I would have expected both taillights to be out).

Any thoughts on where to proceed from here?

Look for a loose wire on that side in the trunk.

Use a multimeter to trace voltage back from the taillight socket(s).

Take it to someone who knows how to do the above.....
