Reset hood open sensor

I recently got in an accident and got my car repaired but my 07 Camry XLE signals that the hood is open when it isn't. Anyone know how I can reset or just plain turn off the sensor? I think I know when my hood is open and when it isn't so unless it will affect something else, I don't see why I really need it....

Tried calling Toyota but they said they would charge over $100 to submit it through an entire test....

try holding ur odometer button before turning on the car, and turn the car to a on position and hold it for about 15 secs

Assuming you had the front damaged, the repair shop/insurance company should either adjust or replace the sensor......

#1- make sure it was plugged back in first. if it is not plugged in it will cause your condition.
#2- if it is plugged in then the switch is most likely f'ed so what you will want to do is unplug the sensor and on the wire harness side (not the sensor) all you have to do is jump both terminals on the plug and it will think the hood is shut. heres a tip--cut the sensor plug off and tie the wires together-and shrinkwrap it, just make sure you leave enough room to do that.
#3- unless you want to reset your maint light the odo button will do jack holding it down for the hood switch.
#4- the switch itself is not adjustable its held in place by 2 screws in the latch.
