Talking Winter driving + lowered car = help?

Sup all //

So as I patiently wait for my H&R springs, one question is still burning in my mind. How's the winter driving? I know a few of you are from the northern regions and have coil-overs. Thus, you guys can put the car back to stock height.

Seeing as I'm not ready to invest in coilovers yet, I'm just wondering how's the winter driving with a lowered car? Mind you I'm only lowering my car 1-1.4", which isn't huge, but it's still a factor come mid-january and there's plenty of snow buggers on the roads ready to clip my car. (you should try to evade these anyway)

I know I should watch out for the usual suspects like any winter driving with or w/o a lowered car:

roots, tire track valleys, clumps of snow, etc ... (yellow snow) lol

I'm not worried about getting stuck because like I mentioned earlier, I'm not killing a huge amount of clearance, only an inch or so. So maybe I don't have to be such a nancy about lowering my car and the winter, but I just wanted to get some input from northern drivers.

Thanks!

M

No issues on TRD Springs.

This winter, I probably won't be able to plow through snow like I did with TRDs.

Hey CT,

Do you have an i4 or v6? Did you go with the H&R OE Springs or H&R Sport Springs? How was the drop? Do you like watching movies in the dark? LOL jk.

Thanks!

I am now just in the mood to really slam it so I am movng to coils soon. I don't understand the comment on movies in the dark lol but if your refering to my dvd player I have installed I watch movies where ever I drive lol day or night.

Awesome good deal. How much drop did you get? H&R says 1.3-1.4 inches but other's are saying 1.5-2.0 inches.

Awesome, I'd love to see them. Glad to hear it's consistent all around, that's why I went with H&R. Due to the i4 other springs tended to make the rear sag. Or so I've been told.

Thanks again!

Just do it rally style and tape your bumpers and side skirts so you don't scrape up your paint and if the snow is that bad you really shouldn't be driving. Dam so many people getting rims and dropping their car blah .
