Compatible Bluetooth kit?

Hey all, new user here. I recently decided I would like to get a bluetooth kit for my 08' Camry LE. Preferably, I would like one in which the sound will come out of the cars speakers, cutting off the music when a call is made or comes in. If anyone knows of some products like this that are compatible with my car, please let me know. Thanks!

I have this PARROT CK3100 installed. It works fine for me.
Here is the link of what it looks like.

lammydi,

I'm a Tacoma guy just popping over to the Camry forum to do a Parrot CK 3100 install on my GF's Camry. I have ordered the gear and have figured out how to get the radio out of the dash to connect it up.

One thing I haven't decided on is where to run the mic. Where did they (or you if you did the install) put the mic? I am curious to know if it is possible to run it under and up the driver's side windshield pillar then on to the visor or overhead console.

Thx
Ray

Toyota also makes an aftermarket bluetooth system, called BluLogic, I'd look into it. It's relatively inexpensive and comes with a small microphone.

I already have the Parrot gear (it came late this AM). It also comes with a nice small microphone. The question is how best to route and mount these microphones in a Camry, a car which I am not that familiar with. I was sooooooo hopng to not get such a typical forum non-answer.....

Sorry....it was just a suggestion. If it bothers you so much quit looking for answers on forums.

OEM microphone is between the sunglass compartment and the light up top.

That's exactly what I'd like to accomplish and I was hoping someone here who has done it could post how it was routed since I don't have the car to take apart and play with. On my Tacoma I just popped off the driver's windshield pillar cover and routed my mic up to the overhead console. But I see on her Camry that it appears the side air bags are in that pillar so the cover may not come off. That's what I was looking for advice on... or else an alternative place to mount the mic that folks here have proved to work well.

Why not route it next to the pillars? There's enough gap to just kind of shove it behind there, the same for the headliner. It's a small enough cord where it should be a definite possibility.

Yes, that's the idea, but it won't work unless there's a way to fish the wire up through the dash. On my Tacoma this was easy with the pillar cover off. Not sure it's doable on the Camry.

That's why I was hoping someone here who has installed an aftermarket BT kit would chime in... so I don't have to reinvent the wheel. But, alas, forums aren't always that helpful these days. Lots of MPG discussions and other trivia but little real technical help to be had in all the noise.

Oh well, I guess I'll go reinvent the wheel. I'm good at that.
