Key not detected ?????????????

Hello guys:

yesterday i drove my car, and when iam done with my business, my car didnt start.

i have CAMRY 2007 XLE, i tried to look for a slot to manualy start the car and i coulndt find any, i called my dealer, the mechanic didnt answer, and i started sweating like a spong, even my manual was home, i was reading it, and i didnt know what to do, the place was about to close, and i cant leave my car in their parking lot. in short it was a nighmare.

i went to a radio shack store, which wasnt nearby, and i replaced the battery.
in the manual there is a way to jumop start the car, and i sugest to all of the owners of toyotas with SMART KEYS to have a spare battery with them along with a small screwdriver....

if smartkey is dead you can put it up to button and then press start. this is the backup way to start. Also if you take the key out of fob you can open case with the end of key. This is in owners manual, I suggest leaving manual in car.

The car is supposed to give you a warning if the battery is low an needs to be replaced.

I don't keep an extra one around- I just memorized the backup procedure and I know where to get a replacement battery in the case that one fails. (The batteries are not available in most stores in my area- and I had to go to a specialty battery store unless I wanted to pay big bucks at the dealer or special order it.)
