maybe not enough watts when your DRL's are on since they run at less watts? I'm not too sure, but that seems most obvious since the ballast needs a certain amount of power to start up.

ok so they need to be a higher wattage like 55 maybe so the DRL's can work. or maybe im wrong, the drls dont use as much watts ur saying right, now i was always told not to use over 35watt ballast on a truck/car but maybe these cars are different.....

The DRL are dimmed high beam headlights operated at lower voltage to achieve lower intensity, so there is not enough current for the HID to work. Since we rarely use high beam, why don't you put HID to your low beam?

The HID kit needs about 13 volts to work. The DRL supplies about 9 volts. That 9 volts feeds a 12 volt incandescent bulb, hence it is not as bright as if fed 13 volts. You have 9005 bulbs for high beam, and H11 bulbs for low beam. If you have wired HID ballasts to the 9005 bulbs, they will never light up until they get at least 12 volts, or in other words, when the car is running and you turn on the high beams, they will illuminate. Nobody would ever want HID on their high beams. You only use this type of equipment on low beams. Go back and order the wiring harnesses needed for the H11 bulbs if you want the low beams on HID. Otherwise, reverse all you did and remove the HID stuff from under the hood.
