5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I am in the market to trade up from my matrix to a new body style Camry. Now I love the dual exhaust on the SE's... but around town I have seen LE Camry's with dual exhaust. I don't see this at dealerships on their new 10'-11' models ... was this only done on 07' or 08' models? Please advise what year did this for the LE models.
What others said is correct, 2007-2009 Camrys with dual exhaust are all V6. 2010+ SE 4-cylinders have dual exhaust as well, all other 4-cylinders still have single, and all V6's still have the dual.
The 2010-2011 I4 Camry SE has the same muffler as all 2007-2011 V6 models (same part number).

Oh really? Learn something new everyday!
So if the dual exhaust for the i4 camry SE 2010+ is the same part number for the 2007-2011 v6 models, the pipe size is 2.25inchs across the range no matter if its i4 or v6 correct?
DUAL EXHAUST HERE I COME!

I didn't actually measure the exhaust before the muffler, all I checked was if the muffler was the same, but it would make sense that the piping before that would be the same as well.

Wonder if that's the primary reason the SE flavor of 2.5 is rated at the higher HP? Or is there more to it than that?
The exhaust is actually the only thing I know of that is different between the SE I4 and Non-SE I4. The ECU and programming is the same (I believe I checked prior and they both had the same part number and calibration ID's), the engine itself is the same, the intake is the same, so what does that leave?
EDIT: I'll check again tomorrow, just to be sure, since I am not 100% sure now, haha.

Oh, I thought he was referring to the difference between 2010 + and prior... the engine was the obvious change, not the exhaust lol.
