Hi, Everybody! In my 2009 Camry LE, I'm having trouble installing a replacement outside (non-electric) mirror on the driver's side. No matter how hard I press I cannot get the double prongs at the top (on the back side of the mirror) to slip into the opposing openings. I tried greasing the prongs but still no luck. I'm afraid if I press too hard I will break the mechanism inside the housing that allows you to adjust the mirrors. HELP!

Hi, Tina, and welcome to Toyota Nation!

Let me move your thread over to the Gen 5 & 6 Camry forum so the members there can help you out. You might also want to use that forum's search tool to see if a past thread has covered your side mirror install issue. Hope you get it rectified!

It sounds to me like Tina is trying to put a replacement glass/backing plate into the existing door mirror housing.

The prongs on the back of the mirror have to press onto the tabs/into the accepters on the power mirror tilting assembly (or vice versa, not sure how Toyo mounts theirs)

They can be tough, but put on a glove, press your palm onto the mirror glass and push flat on, the assembly can take it. Support the other side of the mirror with your other hand for posterity. I've had to replace a few...
