Bushings

Looking to get new bushings in my recently purchased 2008 camry. I did some research and found moog. What other brands are available? Do you think if i took my car to the shop and asked for new poly bushings all around they would know what to do?

I commute in So cal, 55 miles per day, so i want to ensure the car's joints are in tip top condition. I also hear a slight clanking when i go over reflectors (changing lanes) coming from the front so i am assuming replacing the crap rubbers for poly's will help greatly.

Thanks in advance!

By the way:

IMHO your car does not need new bushingings unless you see them all cracked and dried out, broken down from heat and ozone damage.
40,000miles is too soon.

I have a 2008 camry v6 se with 36,000 miles I bought new in dec 2007.

Will probally not need bushing till well past 150,000+ miles if ever.

Thanks 1956kiteboarder

Alrighty then, i will keep that in mind. What about that clanking i hear. Is that a common problem on modern camry's? I have searched but nothing very informative...

My bro who use to be a toyota Tech told me it might be the sway bar end links??? Another friend said it could be a strut???

thanks

Take a look at the strut caps. Some years have a propensity for early failure.

Thumbs down went to dealer

So i went to the dealer last Saturday and waited for 2 hours along with another camry owner that was having a re-call job done. Anyhow, the tech told me that the rattle was fixed and it was due to some lose bolts in the storage compartment??? Does that make sense???

Alright, when i got to the dealer, The tech at the desk suggested that a mechanic drive around the corner with me so I could make the noise while driving. Well, the mechanic heard the noise and all was understood.

I drove away feeling a bit skeptical about the solution and I actually still hear the rattle.

Is there any way I can demand that my suspension be check out? If there is recall that exists or something can i just tell them to fix it? I will be going back there this weekend so what do you guys suggest? Their solution the noise was crap and i know they realize this.

Were are you hearing the sound from? The front, rear, passenger, or drivers side?

My first guess is that it is coming from the drivers side front area. I haven't had time to get back to the dealer or look at it myself so it will be on the back burner for now.
