Gen6 headlight tab question

What is the minimum number of tabs that a headlight needs to mount on your vehicle. I see several headlights that are really cheap for having one or 2 tabs broken. I want to purchase a pair of headlights on ebay so I can experiment on them. I will be attempting my first retrofit. If i can get away with only 2 tabs I will go for it.

Side question: All all headights from 07-09 compatible, regardless of model? Or would, for instance, an SE be different from an XLE headlight?

Look at this link:
HID info
I think picture 6d, 7g, and 7i show only 2 tabs.

u need the top 1 arm, the left bottom arm, and the side arm. 3 screws secure the headlight and those are the ones u need. there are tab repair kits available at dealership.

Than you sir! I called the dealership and they can order me some tabs for 10$ each. That is way cheaper than I thought. I'm excited to do my first retrofit!
