roof creaking

any ideas on what is making the roof creak on a 2010 camry with 2000 miles.the sound is coming between the sunroof and back glass.happens mostly on uneven pavement.taking it to dealer tomorrow.i think this is going to be a hard issue to fix though.

Same here, on my 09 se, the sunroof started when i cleaned the stripping from dirt/dust but back i had to like push the headliner up a little to make it go away... keep us posted

I thought I posted about this already, but if not it is the welds on the roof. Apparently when our cars were being made, some of the welds were either sloppy or overdone. And the extra beads are catching on each other when your body flexes on a turn, then pops apart again when you straighten out. I had this problem too and checked with the dealer. They were a little puzzled until they pulled down the roof liner and and saw what was going on in one of the corners.
And of course it's under warranty so if you go back to your dealer they should take care of it.

I had creaking in my roof mostly around the moon roof. I saw the TSB for 2007 camry's for moonroofs on another thread and decided to bring in my 09 camry se to see if they'll fix it.

The dealership fixed the issue so far, been driving around in Houston, where all roads are uneven, and no more creaking! The fix took 6-7 hours. This is a big job that takes a lot of time due to the dismantling of the 6 pillars and headliner, adding insulation, than reassembling everything. But mike calvert toyota did a great job and am very satisfied (minus some black finger brings on my pillars now)
