I want to get a Sirius radio for my wife but I'm not too keen on blocking an air vent, sounds like a bad idea on a hot day. Putting them up on the left corner of the windshield by the inspection sticker sounds oppy. If I could find another place... or if you can convince me that by the vent is OK, then I can move forward. How about inside of the garage door in the console? That being the case, not sure if the wireless tuner option would work, could always go with one of those splitters for the antenna.

I really want an indoor boom box type, but whats the sense in having it if you can't put it in the car too?

Hi Hot Rod -

I've used a Akron SR088-TS-1 mount, bolted to the seat bolt on passenger side of vehicle. It works like a charm.

Fred, Please help me visualize where the radio ends up. Is it a flexible shaft and it ends up perched over the center console?? You've got my curiosity up...

Voilą ! It's indeed a 15" flexible shaft, very sturdy.
