I noticed the 5th gear to 6th gear RPM bump. Does this explanation make sense? If so, why wouldn't other gears need the RPM bump?

I'm not worried about it, just curious.

I get an RPM bump in almost every gear. None of my other manuals ever did this (probably because they weren't drive by wire like the new Camry is), so I haven't noticed a specific bump from 5th to 6th.

I have what I call hanging revs in every gear, kind of like if you did not take your foot off the accelerator. This is common in all cars with electronic throttles. But from 5th to 6th, I sometimes get an increase in RPMs.
