8mm bolt won't fit 2007 front rotor?

I've got what appears to be a warped rotor problem on the front of my 2007 Camry v6; I've posted questions about it here before. I decided to DIY the front rotor and pad replacement, since I've done this on other vehicles.

There's still no Chilton's or hayne's manual for this car that I can find, but my research on this site and others showed that I'd need 2 8mmx1.25 bolts to get the rotors off.

Everything was fine until I tried to get the rotors off. The 8mm bolts are too small. Ever seen this before? I can't find it anywhere on the web. Only thing I can think to do is get 9mm, 10mm, and maybe 11mm bolts and try them all.

sdrone....
You need 2 - M8 x 1.25 x 1in. bolts in the threaded holes in the rotor. Slowing turn each bolt in a few turns at a time until the rotor pops free. Even with a rubber mallet I could break mine free. The bolts did the trick...

Are you sure an "M8" is the same thing as an "8mm" bolt? Seems to me they are different. Just an observation!

also its a 07, if its too small, maybe your rotors could be aftermarket?

if worse comes to worse ... use your mallet until it comes off.

If you have to use a mallet and plan on reusing the rotors, I like to use a rubber mallet. It gives enough shock to brake the rotors loose and will not damage them.

what about that big nut at the center that holds the halfshaft? do we have to take it off? i looked at my the other day and it seems like that it needs to come off as well...can any one confirm that?

No, it doesn't have to come off to remove the rotor. The center hole of the rotor is slightly bigger than that and is made to come off without removing that nut.

a plastic dead blow hammer is very effective.
