Gen5 HID kit in aftermarket headlights vs HID kit in OEM headlights

Hey guys,

Not long ago I installed HID kit in aftermarket headlights that I bought from Ebay for $100 or so. Right before installing the kit I swapped OEM headlights and put above mentioned headlights because one of the tabs on them oem light was broken.

Ever since I have not been happy with the light output of my headlights. Light seems to be scattered and all over.

Now I am regretting not comparing light out put of HID kit in OEM headlights vs HID kit in aftermarket headlights. Do you guys think HID kits will have better output in OEM headlights since they are usually better quality(better reflector etc) than aftermarket headlights?

Would really like to hear experience of someone who compared performance of HID kit in OEM vs aftermarket lights.

PLEASE NOTE: I am aware that in order to get best possible light output one has to do retrofit headlights with real projectors.

+1

OEM gen 5 headlights do NOT mesh well with HIDs. There isn't a clean enough cut off with regular halogen bulbs to begin with.
