5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Since the dealer said they would not do factory install on fog lights because amount of labor/cost involved i.e. replacing turn signal stick on steering column etc. my only option was aftermarket fogs. I looked around for awhile and these look very similar to OEM in my opinion. I did have to plastidip the chrome rings black (for factory look) as recommended by a fellow TN member thanks..
So, did you have a question or are you just chatting up your new lights? My question is this: Why do you feel you have a need for fog lights? It might be a regional thing but in my part of the world they are useless.

@OP: Good job! A detailed DIY is better; I'm considering to install one. Anyway, my car does not have the button to turn VSC off (or whatever) as yours. I don't know when I should turn this off either.

For look, to complete the light pattern in front of the car when headlights are on, to increase contrast in foul weather (especially if he has HID in his headlights),... what else?
Wow gdanaher did someone piss in your Wheaties this morning or what?? So let me get this straight, in the state of Texas there is no use for fog lights whatsoever? Odd.. thanks for backing me up tengiday. I was simply posting this for reference to other TN members that may be contemplating how this would look on their vehicle.
They look great! Any tips for the Gen6.5ers other than to work carefully? I just bought the wiring from a Gen6 since I'm retroing ES300 into the covers directly. Out of curiosity, where the heck did you put all the grounding points?! Theres like 4 of them @.@

I will take a couple of more pics with the lights off so you can see them up close. As far as D.I.Y. guide can't be much help. I had these professionally installed. Electrical is not my thing. I installed my own H.I.D. but that is about as far as I go lol!

I only use mine in rain/fog/snow.
I just love the way the front looks with the fogs assemblies versus the ugly blank black plastic insert pieces.
That's the answer I was looking for then. I've driven cars using fog lights in various weather conditions in a number of states and found that by the time you thought you needed them, well, it was pretty much too late. With fogs you really need something that will penetrate the mist (real fog) and not reflect back and glare at you. I sometimes read comments here about someone wanting to install HID fog lights and I just have to scratch my head in disbelief about those! Anyway, have fun in the fog.

Yep,for me the only reason was for the look with the fogs lights off,G.
Most use fogs at night all the time for the look.I don't on both my vehicles.
I have Hoen yellow bulbs in my RX.There's some controversy on whether yellow is better or not but in snow conditions, yellow may be better. The Ice Truckers show has their rigs with yellow lights.
does the 2010+ camry headlight same dimension as previous years?

It has been discussed in multiple threads. 2007-2009 headlights are different from that of the 2010+. If you get 2010+ headlights, you will need to change your front bumper.
Do a search for netforcer's 6.5 conversion thread.
Ok Ava Cam here are some daytime shots of the fogs in better lighting. I believe someone asked where I purchased them. Here is the link thanks..www.MakotoAutoTrends.com

plastidip seems like an interesting product. Did you have to sand the chrome bezel down at all or did you just clean and apply? I'm wondering if you get any rock chips.. how many miles have you driven with it? nice ride btw, keep it clean!
