Question Engine Removal 2003 Camry 2.4L

Is it possible to remove and replace the 2.4L engine in a 2003 Camry with without removing the transmission?

Thumbs up

Okay on pulling the engine with the transmission. Two other questions.

1. Can I pull both axles and then put the wheels back on to have a rolling chassis?

2. What is the approximate weight of the transmission and engine stripped of accessories?

Thanks for your help.

for front wheel drive, it's a lot easier to pull out the whole thing.

it's more like ~700lbs. my 7mgte weights about 400lbs.

he's talking combined weight of engine and transmission........not just one.

then he would want a floor jack of cherry picker that will support at least 1,000 lbs, due to all the shifting of the weights that'll be taking place.

glen, look at it again. 7mgte is the supra block and the tranny is called r154(specific).
