Gen6 Exclusive's LED "fog light" mod

Here is my LED "fog light" mod that sort of resembles the new benz's. I didn't want to mess with cutting into the covers so I ran them right below. I tapped into the headlight fuse so they turn on with the headlights. Took a while to do but I'm very happy with the way it came out

Looks great. I have seen several new MBs driving around and I like the look. Nice job.

Most likely he tapped into the +/- wires of the headlights and extended it to the LEDs, which should run on 12v of power. Its the same general idea in adding foglights to a car that didn't have them to begin with, minus the switch

Looks good OP. I was considering making some fresh with 5-chip LEDs to make sure they last but got sidetracked by the ES300 projector fogs I'm working on right now

Thanks for the compliments everyone

Basically on ebay they have tons of these items in different lengths and colors...it's just two LED strips.
I wired each LED strip to one another, and then ran a wire from the + side of the LEDs to the 15A low beam fuse (only on the fused side; only 1 of the fuses).
I ran the - side of the LEDs to a bolt in the engine bay for ground.
The LEDs just stick on with the given 3M adhesive.
Just requires some soldering, shrinkwrap, & flex tubing. I made my own fuse tap taking apart an old maxi fuse. You can get a mini fuse tap from online, but I didn't want to wait.
You will need to unscrew/unclip the splash guards from underneath your bumper so you can have access to run the wires. The screws and clips are easily noticeable and easy to remove.
Note: In my case, the LED strip did not show which wire was +/-. I just tested the strip by touching the wires to the battery and figured it out that way.
