5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Just wondering if anyone has installed this intake on their Gen 6 Camry? Any problems? Water issues? Perks? I'm looking into an intake, and this one seems pretty good.
Seriously, just get a K&n drop in and call it a day. Your not gonna feel the difference. If you do its a combination of your head and the loud suction sound it makes under acceleration if it even does that on a camry.
Thanks for the responses. I've had drop in's in the past, and they just seem to be like stock to me. I actually just ordered the Fujita for my 4 banger, hoping to hear, see and feel some type of difference. My only concern with the intake, seeing how it goes down to mount behind the bumper, if I might run into any issues with getting the filter wet. This is my first real CAI, only ran short rams before.
If you think you feel an improvement just because you added a CAI, thats just you getting excited. Yeah there might be an imporvement in HP, but its so minimal it gets lost by the time it hits the wheel

As far as drop in (panel filters), you'll want filter # 2370 from k&n. The only gain from this filter, in my honest opinion, is not sound, not mpg, not performance gain, but the fact you don't have to change your paper filter so often.
