2008 Camry CE Manual Viper Install

Ok, so it sounds like adding OEM keyless is about impossible so I am going to go with the Viper 5701.

I got a spec sheet with and I assuming the wire colors are that of the Camry and not the viper?

Also this is going into a 5 speed car, how have you guys made out with this option?

Also the spec sheet talks about taggin onto a fuel injector wire instead of or for the tach reading. Sound familiar????

Thanks guys.

Viper has the MT sequence. study the manual.

all injectors have a common color wire and individually have a unique color. tap to any unique color. you can still use the tach wire listed above.

Yea, I did look over it and it seems pretty good, just wondering how your personal experiences were...

installed the remote starts , 5101 on a gen 5 camry auto , and 5501 on the gen 6 auto,

and a 5301 (same as 5701 but no alarm) on my manual accord.

You CAN change it from manual mode to AUTO, but just be VERY careful not to have your car in gear. Also you will most likely need an immobilizer by pass.

I have all my sheets and wiring on paper at home, im off at school right now but i will have access this weekend if you need any help.

I guaranteed you that the information is reliable and correct. I used to use the source regularly w/o any problems. Mobile security/RS is one of my expertise.

my SE is not 5spd. For 5spd, you need to switch from MT to AT mode on the viper, hook clutch, and e-brake. Those are the only different for MT car from AT cars.

I meant make sure the mode is in MT, it should be at default. the routine prevent you from putting car into gear.

yea ill take a look this weekend, i took a quick look earlier and cant find my gen6 install vids , only the gen 5 but its very similar,

my tip, GET A GOOD 12V TEST LIGHT!
The wires (ign , starter , +12v etc) are very thin and arent a thicker gauge as expected, and wit ha bunch of wires the same colour , you must check each individual wire!

also manual mode, if i remember correctly, you are required to ... hit the brakes, while holding it, pull the ebrake, hit the remote start button on your key fob, remove the key, get OUT of the car. your car will still be running, once you lock the door the car will shut off ensuring you were able to leave your car and turn it off from the outside to make sure its in neutral.

its good , but a pain, like if u needed to run into your car and open the door, you just resetted the sequence and must re do it to start your car the next time you want to

^that's a bad tip, man. Get a Digital Multimeter (DMM) not a test light.

If you need further information, go to www.the12volt.com.
