is anyone else having this problem or did? what did you do to correct it?

Hey Tony, my car did that too last time, but only once. Mine is more like a white smoke with dust particles coming out of the middle vents. I put it on max for a few seconds and it went away and never come back. I don't know where it came from though.

I was in the middle of traffic with A/C on BTW.

There is a TSB out for that type of problem.

Ever since I bought my dirty-ass Prizm it has been blowing debris into my eyes when I blast the A/C. It really pisses me off.

i will it my air blow on max and see if this will correct the problem. i just changed my cabin filter hoping it was that..

Pretty sure I had a car once that blew white flakes out the vents... When it was snowing. Guess there wasn't a cabin air filter on this old beater? Haha. Seriously though, I do remember a car that would blow snow from outside thru the vents!
