This was discussed in previous threads. The wiring/plug is different but will fit in its place.

I ordered some 07-10 led chrome clear tail lights from ebay for my camry se 2010. they fit fine but the connectors were different. I took it to my dealership and they said that the lights would not work and were for a previous model. I had to return them. Does anyone know where I can get some aftermarket led tail lights perhaps smoked for my 2010 camry se with the right connectors? thanks.

I don't think they exist.

Why don't you just smoke your OEM tail lights. Tint them.

Thanks I didnt think about that. I'm gonna check and see if they have them on ebay.

Is there a special paint that I can use to tint them? i'll search for other threads. I wanted to replace them because my dad cracked the rear driver tail light a bit when he was trying to remove it.

I would have just modded the wiring to fit instead of returning them. But oh well.

Anyways, you can use VHT Nightshades spray to tint tail lights, or you can use tint film. and Youtube are your friends.

thats why I took it to my toyota dealership to see if they could perhaps modify the wiring to make it work. they basically told me it was impossible so i just shipped them back. I still cant find anywhere that sells some different tail leds for 2010 or 2011 camrys.

They lied. It's easy to do... they just dont want to do it. Lazy bums. Just buy ones that fit the 07-09 and mod the wiring yourself.

I dont know how to do that. How much you think someone would charge to mod the wiring/make the connectors fit?

um, i believe its only 2-3 wires per taillight for an 07-09... so im gonna take a look at an '10 next week when i come back home

ive been meaning to give it a shot

i really doubt it should cost much, so keep that in mind

also if you want, you could ask njerald, hes a forum member here that's also a toyota tech...a while ago i do recall him taking a guess and saying it probably could be done

I tried to do the same thing, I was thinking you could make a pigtail so you wouldn't have to cut or splice. I had several places looking for connectors that would match up, but no luck.

The pre-2010 have a running/brake light in the trunk lid, where the 2010+ only have the reverse lights.

In the end my wife didn't think they looked that cool anyway and I returned them...what does she know anyway.

I didn't get to the point of checking the wiring out, but I do have quite a few photos and measurements of the connectors, should you want them.
