Sold my 03 SE, now i'm bummed (suggestions)

Alright guys, bought my wife a 03 Camry SE (2azfe-auto)
at the begining of this year, we really enjoyed the car despite going through a few common things like Waterpump and AC relay going bad, all very easy fixes and not expensive..

the car seemed to be fairly well taken care of, but i decided to get rid of it because the trans was starting to slip and at 140k i started to dread the thought of stripped headbolts happening at any moment..

Anyways i'm looking for something else now in the 6k-8k range and realizing there isn't anything i like as much i've considered a 01+GS300 but want something a little more practical.. Should i consider a gen 5 V6 camry? I loved how easy the 2azfe was to work on, but did not feel like tackling stripped headbolts down the road.. maybe a 01+ Avalon?

any opinions? I miss the Camry and probably should have just held onto it and dealt with the issues, i just didn't want to end up throwing thousands into repairs if i could avoid it lol..
