5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I just filled up today for the 3rd time today and the dealer filled me up the first time... so 4 fills for my Camry total. Here are the numbers I've logged...
The wife's '09 Camry LE 4 cyl gets about 26-28 mpg in mixed driving.
Your numbers seem to be a bit low, but stop and go traffic is a killer on gas mileage - especially on a 4 cylinder engine that you need to goose a bit more to get moving from a stop.

I've pump gas one time , and the first tank of gas was filled by the dealer when i purchased the car.
The first tank i get about 250 MPG
Now i'm on my second tank and its about 1/4 left , so far it got up to 230 MPG .
I don't think that's normal for a 14.5 or 15 gallons tank of gas.
Just wondering what MPG do you get with your Camry?
Mine is a 2011 Camry LE 4 cylinder.
25 on average with high amount of highway driving. I've hit 30 on long trips of low speed cruise control (nearly 500 miles on a tank).
20 on average with low amount of highway driving.
V6
Oh yea 16.6 mpg is terrible, I don't think I've ever gone below 20mpg, which is 300 miles on the ODO with a 15 gallon fillup. That's like redlining it every so often and doing all local.
So yea I fill up anywhere between 300 miles and 400 miles.
No , i just go the speed limit , when going down hill ,and i let the car roll without hitting the gas pedal to see if i can get better mpg , and yet so far i'm almost on empty . But 235 miles is what i'm reading off my odometer right now.
HOpefully tomorrow i'll get another 15 miles , that's 250 miles and that's what i got last fill-up
