HID in fogs?

Alright, quick question: should I do it?

I just bought two kits from DDM and already installed the low beams yesterday. Planning to install the fogs today. both sets are 30W 5000k

reasons I should not do it? heard that they might blind other drivers?

another thing is I bought 2 wiring harnesses also but have not installed the one for the low beams yet. should I do it for both low beams and fogs or is it really not necessary?
what's the worst could happen if I don't install the harness? blow a fuse or set car on fire?

anyhow, thanks for the help guys.

my car: 07 Camry SE

Isn't the reason u bought the harnesses is to install with these HID? So install it with the HID kits.

On the Camry OEM fog light housing it will defiantly glare drivers in front. On my GS fog light housing however, it has a front shield. So all light coming out are reflected and deflected. And it's rectangle shape, so the light is more scattered to the sides.

I put in some 35w 8000k's from DDM in both my headlights and foglights on my 07 SE. I'm not using the wiring harness, but it's mainly up to you. If you were using the 55w set, you'll most likely want to use the wiring harness for the headlights, 55w in the fogs will probably melt the housing so that's not a good idea. Anyways, the glare isn't too bad, but it's still there, and quite a bit worse than regular halogens.

The only problem with putting the HID's in the fogs is that they are a pain in the butt to put in. Either you get under the car and unscrew the cover on the bumper, or you can take off the headlights and try that way. Unscrewing the plastic cover would be the easier way.

alright, well I can still return them (7 day return period) with a 20% restocking fee

anyone can recommend some nice pure/cool white bulbs for fogs? LED? I just don't like the yellowish stock fog lights..

actually I had THESE before on my other Camry as low beams. I think I'll get a pair for my fogs. 4350k is more like what I'm looking for (well close enough to my HID 5000k low beams)

OR these:

I remember a lot of people on here like these MTEC. Can't decide if I should pay $11 more for the Luminics...they are 5150k. Which ones do you think are brighter? (both are 55W) I don't want to get pulled over.

or these for $24.99

kind of confusing. Krypton Ultra White are $37 and Ultra White are $25. What's the difference in color? Specs are the same...

U do know these r not real HID right? They are imitation of HID color. I wouldn't bother with it, it's almost the same brightness as OEM with rice blue color. Cheaper to just tint your light blue.
