you may already know this but if not, wear a pair of gloves when installing the new bulbs. this keeps the oils from your fingers off the bulb, creating a hot spot that will shorten the life of the new bulb.
i was looking at it and i couldnt find the drl spot so theres no way to upgrade them huh?
You could use the Nokya Yellow bulbs. I think it would be better than putting HID's in there because those are your high beams, also. Unless you just want to be a jerk on the road. Then go with atleast 10k HID's.

HID in high beam? I think you won't be able to flash others unless you leave it on all the time. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, the HID can't work with reduced current.

That's correct.. They either don't fire and ignite the gas or they may work but the ballast will go bad very shortly. HID's are designed to run at 100% power all the time, not 60-70% like DRLs do, so HIDs are out of the question. Putting HIDs in your high beams isn't smart anyways, if you need to flash someone, they don't have an "instant on" like halogens do, and there is kinda a period you should let them warm up.
Anyways, if you want a blueish/purpleish/yellowish bulb to replace the stock drl/high beam, look into some Nokya bulbs, or PIAA's. Otherwise, your only other option would to pretty much just keep the yellow you got, if you dont want the Nokya or PIAA bulbs, and get some Sylvania Silverstar Ultras.
Edit: Saw your LED post.. You can use them, just light output is gonna SUCK big time, especially if you use your high beams a lot. Though only use I can see you getting from them is for looks during the daytime when the DRL's are on. Otherwise, it's a waste.

I read that the U.S. Army is working on LED headlights so they can have the extra watts for radios, radar, etc. Dunno how far out they are from having a real product, but that will be great when they finally hit civilian production.
