New Transmission problem on my 2007 V6 XLE
History:
10,000 miles: Had the shift flare issue(3rd-4th gears)- had the reflash performed-resolved issue.
40,000 miles: A few month later, has some odd shifting issues for about 2 miles then after I came to a stop and went to start up again, as car shifted from 1st to 2nd the transmission totally slipped. The engine was redlining, but no power to the wheels. (of course in the middle of an busy intersection) Transmission replaced-all issues resolved.
58,000 miles: driving on the highway 70mph, stepped on the accelerator to pass someone, car downshifted and accelerated properly. When I let my foot off the accelerator the car remained in 4th gear for about 10 minutes, then finally shifted into 6th. After coming to a stop at a toll booth, the car had no power and appeared to be starting off in 4th. VSC light and CEL light came on. Manually selecting gears using S mode had no effect, the car only had 4th-6th gears. Restart after letting it cool down had no effect.
Dealer is going to replace the transmission again. Anyone else have this issue?
No but I am not surprised, these transmissions are made of glass or shit - take your pick. Even though I have an '09, I won't be surprised to run into transmission problems down the road.

I think one of the reasons why toyota's get such good mileage is that our transmissions aren't heavy, but maybe theyre more prone to breaking like yours.
My trans has had some weird shift patterns at times. Once it got stuck in 4th at highway speeds. Had to put it in neutral and back to drive for it to shift normal again

The Aisin U660E transmission seems to be a piece of junk from the beginning. Are they going to give you a new transmission or a rebuilt this time?
If it's like the U240 series with a fluid circuit design defect that can't be "reprogrammed" to work, then you might want to sell the car after you got the transmission while it's still worth something. At least ask them what it will cost to replace "after warranty".
I mean, getting the 3rd transmissions already within 60K miles?
