get behind front grill

just got a TRD grill badge and can't find a way to get behind the grill without taking off the front radiator shield/protector or watever its called thats underneith the front of the car.

Any advice. How have you guys done this?

Do I need to take it off and if so how?

The screws look like they come out but there are some rivets that i dont want to pop off without knowing.

Id really like to get in from the top but cant fit my hands through.

-Thanks

Under the hood, you can remove the 2 rubber bumper/screws on the top R/L edges of the fascia, and then the large bolt in the center. After that you will have to remove some of the plastic rivets. My dealer gave me a few of them for free, as I broke one of the centers popping them out when I was putting my SE grille in.

Then you can pull the fascia up and over where that large bolt was in the center, and to the front, giving you lots of room to work.

You may need to, I only broke one, I think only 3 of them have to come out though. The centers of the push pins come out, then the outside lifts out of the fascia.

I'm sure you could use some of those Christmas tree type pushpins to replace them, or they might even have them in the 'help' section at the auto parts store... Once the screws and bolt are back in it's not going anywhere anyway...

Never went from the bottom since it was easy from the top...
