5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Thought this could possibly be an interesting thread. What have you done to your Camry since you bought it? How much money have you put into it? What are your future plans? This may help some of us Camry owners into knowing how much mods cost before we get into it. And what the out come can look like.
2011 LE I4. So far only tinted the windows $200, 20% all around nothing on the windshield. Ordering an OBX muffler today or tomorrow from Ebay $50+plus shipping. Thats all so far, but have only owned the car for 5 weeks.

If I bought a Lexus, I would still be adding everything on from above lol. The current Lexuses do have LED side mirrors and better looking tail lights so those might be dropped from expenses. Also wouldn't have to do any conversions. Gen 6 LE front end is poopoo

Did you only do a cometic conversion? I always have wondered how the SE models manage to squeeze out more hp from the same engine as the LE (i4). Is it more aggressive timing?

Gen 6 have same horsepower across all trims for both I4 and V6.
Your 6.5 has more on the SE, which people have theorized is because of exhaust. Maybe ECU? Don't recall a definitive answer.
I'm converting to 2011 Hybrid... it's a surprise shhhh
$160ish for an auto-dimming Homelink, compass mirror. Might drop some cash for tinted windows if I can get past my fear of having that done aftermarket. I've had my Camry for just about 2 months.
have not spent any $$ yet.
But I will do....
Sound System, have two amps and sub but need speakers wiring and installation plus head unit: $1,500
Wheels - $1,400 with TPMS
What I want.... (but I don't think it will happen)
short shifter
Short RAM intake
CAT exhaust
Front Strut Bar
Rear Strut Bar
maybe springs - not sold yet.
