Need to buy a good car jack

Any recommendations? My stock one is broken (not my fault, someone borrowed it :/)

Not a huge rush, just want to have one for emergencies. I guess I want a pretty good one that gives more clearance than the stock one as well..

Well, for one that will fit into your 'stock' compartment, the wrecking yard is likely the most cost-effective source - perfect fitment, light weight and all that.

This one at Harbor Freight seems like a decent deal - and a floor jack is quicker and easier than OEM sill-only jack. I have a larger 3 ton version I've been happy with (except for the weight - mine is HEAVY), but I would consider it a 'garage mainly' for oil changes, tire rotations and the like.

i bought a Torin brand jack from walmart not long ago

link , was on sale for 19.99 at my local walmart and the handle is only 8-9 inches long...so you could put in the car if you wanted

i'd rather ebay and buy a used scissor jack that'll fit in the compartment in our trunks, here's one link for an 00-05 camry but it looks like it'll work just fine
